Pickled Onions

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Red Onion

  • 1 Jalapeño

  • 8 Garlic Cloves

  • 2 tsp Peppercorn

  • 1/3 Cup Sugar

  • 2 Cups Water

  • 1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 Cup White Vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS

01. Thinly slice the red onion and place it in a clean jar or bowl.

02. In a saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, water, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

03. Slice the Jalapeño, add to the jar along with the garlic cloves and the black peppercorn.

04. Pour the hot pickling liquid over the jars ensuring they are fully submerged. Let it cool to room temperature.

05. Once cooled, seal the jar and refrigerate. The pickled onions will be ready to enjoy in a few hours but taste even better after a day or two!
